Stuck?! Sketches: March 15th Sketch and Reveal

Mid-month already! And that means that another awesome sketch by the fabulous Laura Whitaker has just been revealed over at Stuck?! Sketches!! Wanna see what she's sketched for us this time? Here it is:

In love with this sketch doesn't really cover how I L-O-V-E this sketch!! It's absolutely AMAZING! Here's my take on it:

I've always loved this family photo a scrappy friend of mine, Sandie Dunn, took of us way back in 2010. Funny how I've had it for years and never thought of scrapping it with Echo Park's Note to Self collection. The colour palette is just so perfect and brings the attention straight to Louis-Olivier. Layered tons of bits and pieces of that collection onto an OLD piece of Basic Grey patterned paper from their Origins collection and added a bit of BG's What's Up red patterned paper. Also splashed some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze on there and scattered some gold Elizabeth Craft Designs Peel-off stickers here and there. That title? A foiled thicker title from American Crafts. Stitched a bit using gold DMC floss and a Close to My Heart stitching guide, stapled a few Making Memories staples and glued a few strands of Hemptique crafter's cord directly onto my photo. I also tucked in a few pieces of good ol' corrugated cardboard I inked a bit with some Ranger Distress ink. And that die-cut heart in the background? It's a downloadable cut file I found on the Scrapbook & Cards Today website designed by the über-talented Nicole Nowosad - and it's totally free right here!

Wanna see what the rest of the Stuck?! Sketches design team created with this sketch? Hop on right over here! And if you play along, you'll get the chance to win some awesome prizes from Creative Embellishments and Linnie Blooms Mixed Media Products!!

Happy scrapping!
