LCOM Almost Christimas Crop Creations

Hello, everyone! After having spent the day yesterday making cards during the first winter storm of the season, I remembered that I hadn't shown you what I had created at the Almost Christmas Crop hosted last weekend by Let's Capture Our Memories here in Moncton.

This layout is very special to me as it is the very first one I did with a photo of not only my two-month old, Éloïse, but of her and her brother, Louis-Olivier. I've recently fallen in love with scrapping 2X3ish photos- makes more room to play with paper! Hee!Hee!  However, I packed very quickly the morning of the crop and forgot some of my sketchbooks I usually lug around at crops. Oh! No! What was I to do?!? Luckily, some of my scrappy peeps had brought some sketches! Phew! Saved by the croppers!! :) One of them had even brought a bunch of ideas from magazines and this one was taken from a Creating Keepsakes magazine. Unfortunately, I didn't jot down the name of the designer or the volume information of the CS issue. Mea culpa! I used some Crate Paper, Carta Bella and Authentique patterned papers and enbellishments by Pink Paislee, Prima, and Tattered Angels. I also used some tools - the Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher as well as my ever-so-faithful Bazzill Basics Stitching Template. The title was given to me by a fellow scrapper - she cut a whole bunch of them before coming to the crop on her handy Silhouette. Thanks Kelly! Oh! And the brad with the "2" on it?  LCOM's very own Isabelle gave it to me, but I have no idea who made it! Maternity leave will do that to you, eh? Hee!Hee!

This layout of my niece, Isabelle, with her dog, Framboise, was made using Carta Bella's Hello Again collection. It was done based on this PageMaps sketch chosen for the crop sketch challenge:

I also used some Stampin' Up metal buttons, Maya Road buttons pins and metal camera embellie, Studio Calico wood veneer hearts, Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze, and Bella Blvd and Prima alphas. The stitching was done using a Crafter's Workshop Stitching Template and all those circles were punched using some good ol' Stampin' Up circle punches - thanks, Cécile! And yes, for those of you who have attended a Crop & Create event in Moncton, that's Cécile Lavoie!! :)

I also made these two layouts featuring Authentique's Pride collection:

The last one was done using another PageMaps sketch, but for the one-hour challenge:

Other than the Authentique collection, you'll find some Crate Paper and American Crafts patterned paper, Basic Grey brads, metal stars and alphas, Bella Blvd, Cosmo Cricket amd American Crafts alphas, Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze, a Maya Road metal arrow embellie, Cosmo Cricket Tiny Text, an Evalicious badge, stitching using a Bazzill Basics Stitching Template, and that big, red button - from my Maman's button stash. Photos are of my brother's trip to Washington, D.C. in July 2012. I recently finished a SN@P! Studio book for him of this trip for Christmas and I had some leftover photos - LOVE that first layout with all those pictures and very minimal supplies. Totally different for me, but well worth it I think!

I'd like to thank Isabelle for another great crop as well as to my scrappy peeps with whom I always have a great time scrapping. Can't wait to do it again!

Happy scrapping!
