Creative Scrappers: Sketch #249

It's another reveal day at Creative Scrappers! Here's the Heather Leopard sketch we played with:

And here is what I created:

Lots of Crate Paper with some dashes of Bo Bunny, Kaisercraft, Pink Paislee, Bazzill Basics and Studio Calico. I'll actually be giving this layout to a friend of mine who went to Africa last Summer to do some humanitarian work. When she showed me these pictures, my heart went out to them and I asked her if I could do a few layouts of her trip for her. It's like scrapping with a cause!

Happy scrapping!!

Creative Scrappers: Sketch #247 and Scrap for Help's February 2013 Challenge

Holy! Has it even been storming in our neck of the woods!!  There's a good foot and a half to two feet of snow in the driveway!!  Thank God we have a snowblower!! And the wind! It's really like being in Cape Breton... except having my Maman's home cooking... ;)

This week at Creative Scrappers, we had a Kiki Halbert sketch to play with:

Isn't it great? So simple yet full of possibilities. My kind of sketch. Here is what I came up with:

Yes, that's Louis-Olivier just this past December. He is growing up SO fast. And he is growing up to be so much like his Papa, it's not even funny! Which is really fine by me because I've always considered myself to be such a lucky woman to have Mathieu in my life. They are quite the pair!! Hee!Hee!

I used some My Mind's Eye, Fancy Pants Designs, October Afternoon, American Crafts, K&Company SMASH, Basic Grey, Studio Calico,Tim Holtz, DMC floss, and regular ol' paper clips from Staples. Inspired by Scrap for Help's February Challenge, I also punched some star shapes from some plastic packaging I had lying around and stapled them to my layout. And that journalling? I doodled the lines myself! WOW! I would never, I repeat N-E-V-E-R, have done that before. It's so much fun trying new things. Woo!Hoo! Photo by Philippe Dumas.

To see what the other Creative Scrappers girls did with the sketch, hop on over to today's CS reveal. And to win a prize package from its February sponsor, upload your creation(s) using sketch(es) #246-247-248-249-250 to its(their) respective reveal(s) by March 1, 2013.

Happy scrapping!!

Creative Scrappers: Sketch #246 and LCOM's Gimme All Your Lovin' Online Crop Challenge #2 - No Pinkies Here!

Hello, everyone! It's been a rough week here with a bad flu taking over our household, but I feel so much better that I've been scrapping a LOT over the weekend which is awesome. This week, the Creative Scrappers girls were inspired by this Juliana Michaels sketch:

Also inspired by LCOM's Gimme Your Lovin' Online Crop Challenge #2 - No Pinkies Here!, I grabbed this very recent pic of my husband and me and created this love-themed layout with no pinks, no reds and no hearts.

For this layout, I used some Cosmo Cricket, Fancy Pants Designs, Pink Paislee, Queen & Co., Bazzill Basics, DMC, Tattered Angels, Liquitex, American Crafts, and a good ol' Staples' paper clip. I loved making those layered circles with my new EKSuccess circle cutter... OMG! It's the best little gadget around!! A friend of mine gave it to me as a gift and I am truly so thankful. Goodbye circle punches! Goodbye die-cutting machines! Woo!Hoo!

Ready to see another set of amazing layouts? Head on over to this week's Creative Scrappers reveal and see for yourselves! Oh! And to win a prize package from CS' February sponsor, complete at least one layout from sketches #246-247-248-249-250 and upload it using the inLinkz at the bottom of each reveal. The deadline to submit your layout(s) is March 1, 2013.

Happy scrapping!
