Let's Capture Our Memories: Sketch #73 (and a few extras!)

Good Saturday morning, everyone! Just a quick post to show you what I just designed for Let's Capture Our Memories' Sketch #73, revealed today, based on a fabulous sketch by Ana Castro.

Lots of Simple Stories - Homespun on here (6X6 patterned paper, 12X12 Simple Basics Kit, decorative brads, bits & pieces, SN@P! cards, SN@P! Instasquares), with some My Mind's Eye wood dots, Stampin' Up cardstock, silver foil paper and metal clip, Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze, an ACCO paper clip, stitching with DMC floss using a Bazzill Basics stitching template, an Ali Edwards cut file, Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type alphas and... that washi tape? I have no clue! :) And that white piece behind the layout? The B-side of an old single-sided Basic Grey patterned paper I've had in my stash F-O-R-E-V-E-R!! Love it! (Don't worry, though. I have another piece of that BG patterned paper in my stash just waiting to be used!! Hee!Hee!)

Stuck?! Sketches: May 15th Sketch and Reveal

Today's the day for the second monthly Stuck?! Sketches' design team reveal! Here's the awesome Laura Whitaker's sketch we had the privilege to scrap with:

And here is my layout:

Now, for some of you who have been scrapping for a few years now, you might recognize the paper collection I used... actually, as soon as two of my fellow scrappers saw this layout, they said how these papers were some of their all-time favourites! Any guesses? Fancy Pants' very own Christmas Magic (c. 2009) and Hot Chocolate (c. 2010)!!! Love it how the two collections go hand in hand! I also stitched some snowflakes and Xs on there, using some Bazzill Basics stitching templates, splattered some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze, and sticked some Queen & Co. washi tape, Studio Calico wood veneer trees and American Crafts alphas. Want to see some close-ups? Sure!

If you'd like to see the rest of the designs for this week's sketch, hop on over to today's Stuck?! Sketches reveal right here. You will NOT be disappointed. This team is oozing with inspiration for you!! Enjoy! Oh! And if you scrap a layout using this sketch, please link it to today's reveal over at Stuck?! to get a chance to win fabulous prizes from Creative Embellishments and ScrapMuch? A Scrapbook Paradise. BONUS! Woo!Hoo!

Happy scrapping!

Stuck?! Sketches: May 1st Sketch and Reveal

Happy first day of May, everyone! I truly love this time of year - it gets warmer gradually, we get more and more sunlight and the birds sound chirpier. And this year, it's extra sweet for me because today is my first reveal with the Stuck?! Sketches team!! YAY!

Here is the fabulous sketch Laura Whitaker gave us to play with this week:

Awesome, eh? As many of you know, I am a hardcore fan of Laura's sketches. So simple and clean, and oh so, SO versatile!! No surprise then that I had a ball scrapping with this one. And here it is... drumroll, please... my first design reveal for Stuck?! Sketches:

And a few close-ups:

Used tons of American Crafts' Amy Tangerine Plus One collection on here. I also splashed some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze on there with some specks of Stampin' Up gold foil paper, Kaisercraft pearls, a Studio calico wood veneer heart, stamping with a set by Technique Tuesdays, and stitching using a Bazzill Basics circular stitching template and some DMC floss. Want to see what the rest of the team created? Hop on over here and be prepared to be inspired! And if you want to scrap along using this sketch, please link your design at the end of today's reveal over at Stuck?! Sketches and you'll randomly be up for two prizes from these great sponsors - Polly! Scrap Kits and Scrapbook Circle.

Happy scrapping!
