Let's Capture Our Memories: Sketch #35

Hello to all! I hope this Labour Day Weekend is being extra good to you. I know that for me, it's been great so far!! I was showered with love last night at a baby shower last night, organized by the baby's two godmothers. Friends and family gathered around my little family and made us feel extra special... :) And today, I start off my day with my final reveal day at Let's Capture Our Memories before the baby arrives. It's all good, though, since I know I will continue to visit and participate this fabulous, small but mighty, scrappy place the whole year through. An extra warm thank you to the owner, Isabelle, who made me part of her scrappy family. Love you tons and tons and tons! So, without further adieu, here is the sketch that Isabelle herself designed for us to create with this week:

Oh, yes! A nice, double-page sketch... I hadn't done one of these in a long time, but it was extra nice to get back to my roots for this last reveal. Here is what I created:

I used some old Flair Designs patterned paper, Basic Grey, Lily Bee Designs, Stampin' Up and DMC. And as for those buttons, I have no idea where they came from, but I know that they they had been waiting to be used for a LONG time! Hee!Hee! Ta-da!

The whole LCOM team participated in today's reveal so why not go see what they all came up with?

Happy scrapping!

Let's Capture Our Memories: Sketch #34

Happy Saturday to all! I am so excited today - after a few days of renovations, I have just moved my scraproom to its new space as we prepare for the arrival of our new bundle of joy in five weeks!! Everything is falling into place. And to top it all off, Let's Capture Our Memories is revealing another great sketch today. Woo!Hoo! Brought to us my the owner herself, Isabelle Perreault-Doucette, what a great sketch it is:

And here is what I designed:

Lots of Simple Stories on this one with splashes of Magenta, My Little Bit of Whimsy, Tim Holtz, Studio Calico, Evalicious and DMC. And that photo is extra special to me - my son with my father in my parents' garden last summer... My Papape loves that garden and here, during a severe drought, they were watering it with water my father had gathered from a nearby lake. Can you imagine? However, since then, Papape has been diagnosed with cancer - it's been a roller-coaster ride of emotions for sure since this past Spring, but the whole family rallied together and yes, the garden is in full swing this Summer. It's a true testament of how strong our family ties are and how much my parents' work ethic and values were passed down to all of us - even the grandkids.

To see what the other LCOM girls designed for your viewing pleasure, please head on over to today's reveal and enjoy!

Happy scrapping!

Let's Capture Our Memories: Sketch #32

Hello! Hello! Sorry for my tardiness, but we've been out and about for the past few weeks, enjoying all that Summer has to offer. And what a great Summer it has been! This week, at Let's Capture Our Memories, we had an AWESOME sketch to play with by none other that the store owner herself, Isabelle Perreault Doucette. Here it is:

Isn't it awesome?!? As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to scrap an event that I held very close to my heart. So, I chose the photos from our first June birthday crop - four of us from the "French connection" have birthdays in June. We've been getting together for a special birthday crop for a few years now. So much fun! Here's my layout:

I used some old Simple Stories with some Glitz Design, Fancy Pants, Bella Blvd, Basic Grey, Tattered Angels, Wiltons, and DMC. I just love how it turned out!

If you want to see what the other LCOM girls created with this sketch, hop on over! You can even join in on the fun!! Who knows? You just might win something!!!

Happy scrapping!
