Creative Scrappers: Sketch #236

The girls at Creative Scrappers have done it again: great layouts to inspire any scrapbooker out there. Woo!Hoo! This week, they had a sketch by Heather Leopard to play with:

Now, the layout I made doesn't really look anything the sketch now does it?  There is a method to my madness, I promise! Hee!Hee! Good thing it wasn't my week to be in the reveal!! Hee!Hee! You see, when I saw that cluster of patterned paper around the space for the photo, it reminded me of Janna Werner's work.  I have been keeping tabs on Janna's work for a few months now, and enjoying her knack of putting bits and pieces of paper together in, or at least from my perspective, what seems to be a split second (You can find amazing step-by-step videos Janna has posted online on You Tube including this one she made using a Creative Scrappers sketch!). I then found a Jen Kinkade layout whose style is quite similar to Janna's and was immediately inspired by one of her layouts. And here is what I came up with:

Mostly using Basic Grey's Little Black Dress collection, I also added some Studio Calico wood veneer stars, American Crafts brads, a Pink Paislee photo tab, Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze and stitching using Bazzill Basics' stitching templates. And the masculine feel to the layout? Inspired by Sherri's Members Online Crop challenge over at My Scraps & More. Check it out! You have until tomorrow night to load your creations!

Are you ready to be inpired once again by the CS girls? Head on over to this week's reveal at Creative Scrappers and see for yourselves how each design is great! Oh! And remember, you have another week until December 1, 2012, to please link your own creation using this sketch on this week's CS' reveal blog post for your chance to win a prize package from its November sponsor Peace, Love & Scrapbooking. Happy scrapping!
