And here's my design along with a few close-ups:
I really wanted to respect the multi-photo concept of Laura's sketch, but it was one of those days that the photo was calling me. You see, on it, you have my husband, Mathieu, along with our oldest nephews, Émilien and Renaud, who both graduated from high school this past June. Even though this pic was taken in 2011, it shows how these three can still have tons of fun together when they just let go and are goofy. And I love that my husband is practically as close to them as I am, if not more - these two have Mathieu as an older brother almost. We're looking forward in having them right here with us in the Moncton area by the end of the month - they've both decided to pursue their studies in town! WOO!HOO!
Used tons of Bo Bunny's Key Lime collection for this one. I just loved the bright colours - totally contrasting from the black and white photo! Also added a Silhouette cut file for the title (isn't it awesome?), October Afternoon alphas, Stampin' Up silver-foiled paper and brads, a Studio Calico camera wood veneer, an Evalicious flair badge (which I am quite proud I used - I have a ton and I never think of using them even if I love the look of them on other people's layouts), a Tim Holtz stencil with some of his ink (the strips above the photo are totally hiding an inking mishap!), and a bit of stitching using my Bazzil Basics stitching template and some DMC floss. And there you go! Another layout - BOOM!
