L-O-V-E this sketch!! And here's what I came up with:
Since Basic Grey has announced that it won't be producing scrapbooking products anymore, I've been on a BG binge. Not that I want to use up my stuff - quite the contrary - but just because I want to smell the paper, feel the textures and believe that they are still around! ;) Do you recognize the BG collection on this layout? Patterned papers, banner... It's an oldie... c. 2012... Soleil! I'm also super happy with that scripted background. It's totally inspired by Missy Whidden - using a Crafter's Workshop stencil, I scraped some Shimmerz' Dazzlerz in Coral Me Crazy over it. Love the effect! I also used some Crate chipboard stickers, a Heidi Swapp wood veneer title piece (that I painted with a clear Wink of Stella marker to give it a bit of sparkle), a Maya Road banner clip, Magenta mesh, buttons from my stash, Stampin' Up vellum and cardstock, a strand of baker's twine, and my ever-so-faithful Bazzill Basics stitching template and some good ol' DMC floss.
Want to see what the other design team members came up with? Hop along right over here and be prepared to be inspired! And when you link your own design based on today's sketch over on the Stuck? Sketches blog, you'll get the chance to win some fabulous scrappy loot from these amazing sponsors: Lindy's and Scrapmatts. YAY!
Happy scrapping!
